Barnabas Fund is a Christian charity which has as its main mission support and prayer for Christians where they face persecution, discrimination or disadvantage because of their faith. Its three principle aims are:

to inform Christians and others of the plight of these brothers and sisters around the world;
to raise up prayer for the Persecuted Church; and
to channel aid into practical projects designed and run by local Christians, churches and organisations in the countries concerned.

Barnabas Fund publishes the Barnabas Aid magazine and the Barnabas Prayer diary every two months, as well as a variety of leaflets and newsletters on projects. Barnabas Fund has supported over 845 projects in more than 70 countries since it was founded in 1993. It also organises conferences, seminars, public meetings, as well as speaking at services and meetings. Its research work is well regarded for both its depth and accuracy.

Over the years several members of LCBC have been cared for in Pilgrim Homes.

Pilgrim Homes has been serving older Christians for over 200 years, based on the instruction in Galatians 6:10 to do good to everyone, but especially those who belong to the family of God. In 1807 the charity helped older Christians with regular pensions and gifts, such as coal and food, and spiritual encouragement.

Spiritual support is still at the heart of all the Society does today.

It provides independent supported living (where care needs are met in individuals’ own homes in a purpose designed complex), sheltered and very sheltered housing and residential and nursing care. Staff are trained in dementia care.

Pilgrim Homes is often asked to share its experience and expertise with churches and other care providers. It also organises national conferences and speaks at Christian seminars.

SU is an international movement, founded in 1867, working in partnership with individuals and churches across the world. Their aim is to use the Bible to inspire children, young people and adults to know God.
