Long Crendon Baptist Church has a continuous history since 1799, although there have been Baptists in the village since the mid-1600s. The chapel on the present site dates from 1853.

There is an interesting and varied story to tell over the years. Watch this space for instalments. Since 1995 LCBC has been affiliated to the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC).

Church membership has fluctuated as conditions changed, exceeding 150 in 1865 and 1866. A century later the number of members had declined to fewer than 30. In more recent years there has been consistent growth such that the church roll is now approaching the strength last seen immediately following the 1859 revival.
