About LCBC

We are a group of people of all ages drawn from a wide variety of backgrounds who:

  • believe that Jesus Christ has made it possible for us to enjoy a relationship with God;
  • want to know God better through studying the Bible together and applying it to our daily lives;
  • want others to be able to enjoy a relationship with God and therefore welcome all to our church.

Congregation 2

The vision of the church is to see unbelieving people become committed followers of Jesus Christ.

Long Crendon is an attractive village on the border of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, 2 miles from the market town of Thame, 11 miles from Aylesbury and 16 miles from the historic city of Oxford.

We are encouraged by a growing membership and a
thriving work amongst children and young people, and
are able to offer a wide variety of regular events during
the week for all ages and stages including those investigating Christianity.

For over 200 years the church has been an integral part of local village life, but has also impacted the wider community and surrounding towns and villages.

As our name suggests we are a Baptist church, which means that we baptise individuals when they confess their own personal faith in Christ, and the church is governed by its own members seeking the will of Christ in all we do. We are not part of a denomination but we are affiliated to the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC) and share its Basis of Faith.

As Christians we are part of God’s worldwide church and actively support world mission through our close contact with various mission agencies.
