amanda 2Amanda Wallis recently completed a marathon to raise funds for Bethan and Tenebou Manga's clinic in Ziguinchor, Senegal.

Amanda would like to thank everyone who sponsored her marathon. It went really well and she finished it in 5 hours 10 minutes. She feels very blessed by the support she received and so do the Manga's.

Bethan and Tenebou sent this message:

'We owe you a huge thank you for what you did for Ziguinchor's people. It is really a remarkable thing and at a time where they really need it.

We are wanting to use the money you raised to finish off the final stage of the building project which has stalled due to lack of funds. This part of the clinic doesn't have a roof on and the rains are coming soon. When it is up and functioning it will have consultation rooms and observation rooms. When the rains come we see up to 100 out-patients a day and there are just 2 consulting rooms so we are desperately in need for more rooms to treat them all! The patients will be much more comfortable and have shorter waiting times.

Thanks to you it will be possible to complete this much needed work and it is perfect as the rains will be here by the end of the month so we can get the roof on just in time!'
