If you haven't met us already, we are the Christians in Sport Academy gap year students for this year; Jake Smith from Liverpool and Peigi McKellar from the Isle of Harris. The Academy is a 6 month Bible training programme for Christians who want to live for Jesus in their sport.

We are currently five weeks into the programme and are loving it! We spent our first week in Cardiff where we got to know each other and discussed what the next 6 months will involve. We also got stuck into Ephesians 2, reminding ourselves of the amazing truth of our salvation.

Since then we have had training in various different things including prayer, leadership and communication, and have had the opportunity to put our training into practice with different mission days in the likes of Cambridge, Bath and Liverpool. Liverpool was the best, of course!

We are so happy to be part of LCBC for the next 6 months and look forward to serving in any way we can! So far we have been helping out at Impact, and are enjoying getting to know the young people in the church. LCBC seems to be full of incredible cooks, and being invited out for Sunday lunch is always a highlight of our week!
