Despite delays (some of them lengthy) on the motorway, many of the LCBC community arrived this evening at the Pioneer Centre in Cleobury Mortimer, for our long anticipated biennial Church Weekend Away. Close to 130 people of all ages have gathered together to share three days of fellowship, teaching, sport and enjoyment, with the opportunity to get to know each other better over the weekend.
As we shared our first meal together (delicious curry) a buzz of anticipation hummed in the dining room and we couldn't wait to get started. After an introduction to our guest speaker, Ray Evans from Bedford, the evening concluded with some games - Charades and Guess the Tune were both well received and winning teams celebrated with cheers and great appreciation.
Winding down at the end of the evening was rapid for some - the table tennis and pool will wait for another day.
