Cornerstone Thame...
|
The official launch of Cornerstone Thame took place over the Easter weekend 2008, the earliest Easter since 1913 and probably one of the coldest on record. Dozens of children still turned out to a party on the Saturday 22 March at John Hampden School, encouraged along to the celebrations held in the school’s Vernon Hall after a face painting session in the centre of Thame. The party, staged in an ‘It’s the Knockout’ format led to the children using many different skills as they tackled different challenges. The course included a mega inflatable assault course, carrying an egg and spoon across a pole, protecting real eggs dropped from great heights, as well as many other activities.
