David Grad 4Six members of Long Crendon Baptist Church were on hand to witness David Mukhia's graduation at the London Theological Seminary on Saturday 27th June. LCBC had supported David through the two years of his study there in prayer, pastoral and financial support.

In total there were nine students graduating, 3 from the UK, 1 each from the USA, Kenya, Nigeria and Italy as well as David and another student who are from the north and the south of India respectively.

David Grad 7Each student was interviewed briefly to outline what they had learnt and how they had benefited from their time at LTS, as well as to outline their future plans. David will return to his home church in a few weeks with the intention of assisting the pastor with teaching and preaching. The Bible is not taught well and false doctrines are widely accepted but in his time at LTS David has come to a proper understanding of Scripture in the light of the true Gospel. His first mission field will be his home church. He also has a heart to take the Gospel across the border to his home country of Bhutan, but it is a Buddhist country where preaching Christianity is illegal.

David Grad 1After the service a buffet tea was served on the lawn. As well as enjoying the summer sunshine there was opportunity to chat with the students and, as is the way at any Christian gathering, to catch up with news of other friends from far and wide.
