This Easter Thame Churches United are putting on a series of events in Thame that aim to be a blessing and share the good news of Jesus Christ at the heart of the community.
Saturday 20 March will be Community Action Day - more details to follow.
Three consecutive lunchtime events on Wednesday 24th to Friday 26th March will be held at the Thame Barns Centre with Krish Kandiah speaking on the big questions people have about life and faith at a relaxed sandwich bar.
The events finish with a big Friday night meal on the 26th with live music, great food and an opportunity to hear Krish explaining the Christian faith in a lively and interactive way - this will be at Barley Hill School, at the bottom of Ludsden Grove.
Training is planned for March. Have you thought about applying to join the team for Thame?

If our local church ceased to exist would anyone in our community notice?
What real difference would it make to my colleagues or neighbours if I switched jobs or moved away?
Square MILE explores the impact God calls us to make in our world - on the immediate
square mile around our homes, workplaces and churches. Using the letters of the word
MILE the programme examines the Bible's teaching on four major areas of impact:
- Mercy - demonstrating God's compassion to the poor
- Influence - being salt and light in the public life of the community
- Life discipleship - equipping Christians for missional living as workers and neighbours
- Evangelism - faithful and relevant communication of the gospel

Am I prepared for my life to be changed? And am I ready to make a difference in my
square mile? Pick up the sermons online from May 2009 as a start.
At the back of the hall there is now a Square MILE table for notes of projects that Cornerstone can be involved in, and to look at new ideas. Visit it regularly and keep contributing. And watch this space for more news.
Roughly once a month there is a Coffee Morning at Thame Leisure Centre for people who enjoy getting fit.
Joining a gym or taking up a sport often triggers a need to improve other areas of life including the spiritual dimension.
Fit Lives is a Christian organisation offering a listening ear. They 'help people make life work' by working with a local church to support a volunteer 'Life Skills Coordinator' who gets known as someone to turn to (with the blessing of the centre management).
The next Coffee Morning for gym members is on 14th July from 9.00am to 11.00am.

The coordinator in Thame is Patsy Baker, also well-known as a local runner. Ask for her at Thame Leisure Centre or leave a message with one of the gym staff.

not cold and snowy like the launch day at Easter 2008!
