Run by a dedicated team of leaders, Contact meets fortnightly on Wednesdays and is an excellent place for the over 55s to make and develop friendships. On the first Wednesday of the month we meet at 12.30 to have lunch together followed by a short service and on the third Wednesday we start at 2.00 beginning with a service and finishing with tea together. In Autumn term 2017 we are looking at the 'I am' sayings of Jesus found in John's gospel.
The programme for Autumn 2017 can be found below or you can download it as a pdf here.
Do look out for additional activities which we put on from time to time - a film with fish and chip lunch, a coach trip, shopping trip or special guest lunch.
On Wednesday, November 1st at 12.30 we will be holding a special guest lunch where Meike Currie will be telling us about the work of Wheels for the World - a charity that reconditions wheelchairs for use in parts of Africa. She will be sharing about her recent trip to Ghana and the lives that have been changed through that work. This is open to anybody but you will need to book your place for lunch by contacting Liz Turton.
