Foodbank logoSharing Life Trust is a UK Registered Charity 'helping those who have and can,
to assist those who don’t have or can’t.' One of the ways they do this is to organise a small foodbank locally to distribute food essentials, in emergency 3-5 day packs, to families and individuals in real need in Thame and the surrounding area.

LCBC has been supporting Sharing Life Trust Foodbank, and is now an official collection point for goods donated to the foodbank.

The website has lists of items regularly needed:
large packet of breakfast cereal, UHT milk(1litre), tinned soup, longlife fruit juice (1 litre), bottle of fruit squash, 500g pasta, jar of pasta sauce, tin of baked beans or spaghetti, 1kg packet of rice, tinned vegetables, tinned fish, tea bags, jar of instant coffee, potato (instant mash or tinned), tinned meat/ meat meal (e.g. steak & kidney), tinned fruit, sugar (500g bag), biscuits, pack of washing machine powder (a useful additional non-food item)

Current most needed items:
Tins of spaghetti, tinned milk pudding (e.g. Ambrosia rice pudding), tins of beans & pulses (red kidney beans, lentils), bags of granulated sugar, washing powder.

There is no need to donate any more tins of baked beans or packets of pasta at the moment as they have plenty of these.
