Unfortunately, we are unable at the current time to meet together in person on Sundays. But thanks to modern technology we are going to meet virtually. The link below contains a YouTube playlist which we are going to use as our online Sunday service. The playlist contains all the usual elements we enjoy together on a Sunday including songs, children’s talk, prayers, Bible reading and a sermon. We hope you can join us and pray that at this time of worry and uncertainty that you would know the grace and peace of Jesus Christ in your lives.
On a practical note – clicking the link will take you directly to the Sunday Service playlist on the LCBC YouTube channel. Once you get there simply click ‘Play All’ on the left-hand side allowing the playlist to run through automatically. If you receive a YouTube advert at the beginning of one of the videos, then you can usually click ‘Skip’ after 5 seconds but hopefully this won’t be an issue.
In the unprecedented times in which we find our country and indeed our world, it is good to remind ourselves, that our hope is in the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth. He is the Rock on which we stand and in whom we trust, even if the future is unclear to us.
With the latest government recommendations in view – we bring you the sad and difficult announcement that all church activities at LCBC will be cancelled forthwith and will not reopen until we as a church leadership team think it is the right thing to do based on Public Health England guidelines and government advice.
We are continuing to look at how we as a church we can fellowship and encourage one another in the coming weeks with the physical restrictions in place and will be contacting church members and regulars direct with more information. We are also discussing how we can link up with other community initiatives to support the more vulnerable with practical help.
We recognise that those who are self-isolating may face particular challenges of being in isolation. Please also see link below with relevant advice in this area...
As we close this announcement can we urge you to pray for one another, for those on the frontline in the NHS, for those in government and their advisors with the responsibility of leading the country and for those across the globe who have lost loved ones and find themselves grieving in isolation. Pray for your church leaders too, as they seek to lead and those in our fellowship who have workplace responsibilities that require wisdom and strength to lead aright.
If you have any questions or concerns please do contact the church on 01844 201335 or admin[at]lcbc.org.uk and we will look to support you as best we can.
