Most of our regular ministries take a break over the summer, but Spectrum meets on Wednesdays 12th & 26th August, and Dads & Tots on Saturday 15th August.
Dear Friends,
It was lovely to be together last Wednesday at our Contact Celebration Tea. For those of you who couldn't make it, we did miss you! We're thankful to everyone who made the afternoon so special. The team had additional support from many, including Wendy who loaned us all the beautiful crockery and table cloths and made and served the delicious tea; Wendy's sister who helped to lay it out and serve and then both did masses of washing up; Pete who arranged for the extra air conditioning and helped with getting tables and chairs out; James who came to do magic and gave our Gospel Message. Such blessing!
Most of you will have received the new term card. There are additional copies in the church ready to pick up so please feel you can take more to deliver to friends and neighbours who may like to join Contact from September.
Sean was delighted to receive his card and voucher. He said 'That was very generous of you all and the messages are lovely, thank you so much!' He is looking forward to seeing you in October.

Thank you so much from me too. The card, with it's kind and loving words, is taking pride of place in our home; the flowers are still beautiful and I'm looking forward to liaising with Jackie to see what she creates for me to enjoy as a reminder of God's great love for us all and my time with you at Contact.
The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;
the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
Numbers 6:24-26
With much love
Caroline and the Contact Team xx

During August and September we shall be looking at what "Being Church" together means for us as a church community here at LCBC.
At our all-age service in July, we heard Part 1 of a mini-series about the world's all-time best seller: The Bible . More of that to come in the Autumn.
During July, we have been reading through the book of Isaiah. In August, we shall be reading the three relatively short letters from the apostle Paul to Timothy (Paul's "true son in the faith") and to Titus (also a "true son in our common faith").
As you complete reading through Isaiah and continue on to read some of Paul's letters, you may find the following short video summaries, (produced by The Bible Project) helpful:
You will find the reading plan for the rest of the year, with more video introductions, here.
Blessed (Happy) Reading!
