children in service
We believe passionately that children and young people are an integral part of our church family and we seek to provide a safe, fun and exciting environment for them to learn more about how great God is, to put their trust in Jesus and learn how to live for him to the full.

All ages from babies to late teens have groups suited to their particular needs. The church has a great team of volunteers leading and helping. We follow Home Office guidelines on checking and training all of these.

Sunday mornings:

For those who would find it helpful, we run a crèche during every Sunday morning service for children up to the age of 3. The appropriate time to leave for this will be announced during the service and you will be shown where to go.

Please remember to collect your children straight after the service!

SClubSClub runs during the Sunday morning service for children aged 3 to 11 (year 6). We begin by gathering as a whole church and then part-way through the service the children will be told when to leave for their groups.

SClub is all about faith with a whole heap of fun mixed in. Teaching is done in small, age specific groups, led by a trained and committed team.

Every week we open the Bible to hear what God has to say to us and learn how to apply that to our lives. We may be young but we believe God uses us anyway!

Toybox, Babybox and Who let the Dads out?!

CrecheCorona Virus (COVID-19):
We might not be running any of our normal activities at LCBC, but if you still want to take part in our toddler group then you need to head to the 'Toybox and Babybox' Facebook page (it is a private group, so you need to request to join). Each week on a Thursday morning at 10:00 am we have 'Toybox Time' a chance for you to join in some singing, listen to a Bible story, do a craft and another activity and then share what you've been up to with your friends! There's even a bit just for grown ups which they can enjoy over a cup of coffee!

Toybox is a group for toddlers, babies and their carers and is a mix of free play, singing time for the children and a short 'thought' for the adults. It's a great place to make new friends and enjoy a coffee and home-made cake.

Babybox is run alongside Toybox in a separate room as an informal group, for pregnant women and new parents to chat together.

Toybox/Babybox is run from 10.00 - 11.30 every Thursday morning during term time and there is no charge for these sessions. Please note our first session back after the holidays will be on September 20th. If you would like further information do email Liz Turton.

Who let the Dads out?! runs from 10 - 11.30 on several Saturdays a year, for Dads and their children. It is a great place to meet new people, have fun together and give Mum a morning off! For more info, email Jim Loukes.

AdventurersAdventurers is aimed at children in school years 3 to 6 and meets at the church every Wednesday during term time from 6.00 pm to 7.15 pm.

Adventurers is run by a dedicated team of leaders and  combines engaging and relevant Bible teaching with a great mix of activities, crafts and games.

Holiday Club

'Fun and Faith' is a great way to sum up LCBC Holiday Bible Clubs, which run each year at Easter, because we have both in bucket loads! Each club has its own theme which ties the four days together. The children spend the day in their group, led by a committed leader.

We enjoy a number of activities such as sports, craft, cooking, small group teaching as well as gathering together to sing, watch a drama and play silly games.
