Last Friday night we held our Christmas Market and this was the first time we have hosted it in the evening, which gave us a great excuse to turn on our own Christmas lights both outside and inside the church.
Approaching the church there was the enticing smells of the barbecue, with tasty burgers and hot dogs washed down with a glass of mulled wine or mulled cider.
Inside the tempting treats continued with the café serving hot drinks, delicious mince pies and cookies.
The hall was decorated with stalls full of an amazing array of handmade crafts, wooden items, pictures, preserves, cakes, chocolates, sweets, decorations, cards, candles and even Snowman Soup!
The children's craft area was extremely popular as it was full of festive crafting fun.
The Christmas Market was a great success because we had people willing to set up both inside and out, making all the wonderful goods for sale, running a stall, baking all the cafe treats, serving in the cafe, cooking outside on the barbecue, working in the kitchen and helping with the cleanup operation. So on behalf of the Craft Team a huge thank you to you all!!
Lastly a special thanks to all those who came and brought friends because seeing the church full of people made all the planning and hard work worthwhile.
We would love to welcome you to one of our Christmas church services, please see our Future Events page for more details.
